Services

Cable TV

Cable TV

The Cable Television Service provides real-time entertainment video content and infrastructure to the residence halls (common spaces), and academic and administrative units, including the connection of wall plates to the campus CATV underpinnings. The service is available at University Park and the Commonwealth Campuses with H&FS-run housing facilities, and it leverages a combination of coaxial and Internet Protocol delivery, based on location.

Code Repository Service

Code Repository Service

GitLab is a software repository management tool that provides a University-wide resource for code management, code review, and general collaboration for software projects at Penn State.

Collaboration Space IT Systems

Collaboration Space IT Systems

Collaboration Space Information Technology (IT) Systems include audio/visual hardware and software in support of group presentations and video conferencing (and the combination of the two). Monitors, speakers, cameras, and mics are all components of this service. Since these spaces are highly variable in size and layout, ENCS can design and configure custom solutions to meet specific functional collaboration requirements.

Contact Centers

Contact Centers

Contact Centers provide customer-facing offices with the ability to receive (or place) a large volume of communications/enquiries via the communication modalities of their choosing—voice, chat, and/or email. They include such features as customer/message queuing, music on hold, knowledge-based routing, application integration (such as with Customer Relationship Management systems), real-time monitoring, and historical reporting.

Telephony Systems

Telephony Systems

Telephony systems provide cost-effective, real-time communication services that include communication instruments (e.g., phones) and applications (e.g., Jabber), and the underpinning infrastructure to support real-time communication between users, mobility and remote work, and connections to the Public Switched Telephone Network.

Web Apps Process Messaging

Web Apps Process Messaging

Web Apps Process Messaging is the enterprise application messaging protocol service, Active MQ. This is not a chat messaging service.
